I have a confession to make: I do not love beach/resort getaways as much as most people do. It’s not that I don’t find them enjoyable; it’s just that they do not match the idea I have in my head of what makes for an ideal travel experience. Still, when an opportunity to go island-hopping in the Bahamas came up a while back, who was I to decline it, right? Definitely the most luxurious and self-indulgent vacation I’ve ever had. (Also, I got to swim with dolphins!)
Thought I’d share some photos:

Looks really beautiful! I am not a fan of big resorts myself, if I go to the sea I want to stay in tiny villages among “real” people and away from tourists. This however looks really beautiful, and swimming with dolphins sounds really nice!
A beach getaway in a tiny village sounds perfect! I’m just not a fan of sunbathing and hanging out in a resort for several days.
Everything looks so beautiful! :) I feel like I was actually touring the place with you. And lucky you for being able to swim with dolphins. I’ve always wanted to do that. The closest I got to touching one was feeding time at Sea World. LOL.
The dolphins were pretty smart, too! They push you around in the water with their snouts against the arch of your foot. :)
Gorgeous photos! Agree on the resort thing though…not my cup of tea either, I’d rather stay in a small hotel and travel during the day :)
